And away we go

Okay, a week on the road and time to break radio silence.

The first seven days have been a fair mix of exhilarating and exhausting. The travel adrenalin delayed the effects of jet lag and acclimatising from 12C to 37C overnight, but after a couple of days both of us had a major crash. It wasn’t anything 13 hours of sleep couldn’t cure, though, and we’re both feeling fit and well again.
We’ve got our bearings now and have figured out the most economical ways to eat and get around without going totally skankpacker on it. We’ve slowed down to tropical pace and will be retooling the itinerary accordingly.
No sunburn, no major accidents and no bouts of hanging around the nearest toilet pot all day . . . so I guess things are going as well as can be expected for now (How’s that for tempting fate?).
Now that the most hectic settling-in is behind us, we’ll be getting a good few posts together, and we’re busy editing our photos, so I’ll sign off for now with a sample gallery.

Same as ever, Father – whatever the feck we think we can get away with . . .
